ALAIN PERNAU
Born and raised in Santiago de Chile, I grew up as a typical kid with lots of energy and enthusiasm for different sports. Studying ecotourism in university gave me the opportunity to discover an incredible passion for nature, sustainability and my new favorite sports: rock climbing, scuba diving and trail running. After that I traveled to Europe , Australia and New Zealand, becoming even more excited about running as an amazing way to discover different places.
Back in Chile I had the chance to become a guide in Torres del Paine National Park, and without hesitation I took the job. I spent several years working in Patagonia, a perfect playground for trail running and a place that increased my love for the sport, sustainability and the natural world, and led me to this opportunity to continue running, traveling and creating new experiences with Rogue Expeditions.
