Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rokko Mountains, the Kobe Trail unfolds through ancient forests, along steep ridgelines, and past cascading waterfalls.

The course is a mesmerizing blend of cityscape and wilderness. Runners kick off in the bustling city center, then ascend into the greenery of the Rokko Mountains.

The trail meanders past grand old trees, across rushing streams, and up to the gleaming, panoramic views from the summit. Descending, the route navigates through mist-shrouded bamboo groves and past the thunderous Nunobiki waterfall, before returning to the city and the finish line.

The Kobe Trail offers a variety of distances: a 21k, 15k, a 15k EKIDEN relay race, and two 4k options, with the unique feature of a 4k pair race.
